Superstar Chiranjeevi will launch his political
party at a public meeting in Tirupati on August 24. Sources close to
the actor said all arrangements were complete and everyone was waiting
for the final nod from Chiranjeevi. The associates of the actor had
toyed with two dates, August 21 and 26, for the launch. But as both
dates had muhurat problems, they zeroed in on August 24. Chiranjeevi
will also be throwing a grand party for his colleagues in the Telugu
film industry on August 10 in which he would announce his decision to
enter politics and seek their cooperation.
Sources said artists who do not have good vibes with Chiranjeevi
such as Mohan Babu and Rajasekhar will also be invited to the party.
This bash is likely to have the tone of a farewell party since
Chiranjeevi may not sign films once he enters politics. Many directors
and actors have come forward to join the party. Among them are noted
director Puri Jagannath, star Srikanth and comedian Brahmanandam.
Chiranjeevi has decided to contest from his native place Narsapuram
in West Godavari district, where he expects huge support from members
of the Kapu community. Incidentally, after delimitation, Narsapuram
will be the smallest constituency in the state. After launching his
party, Chiranjeevi will go on a three-month state-wide tour to spread
his message. A special vehicle with all facilities has been readied for
the tour and a detailed plan is being worked out. |
